We attended six of the UK's biggest music festivals with our Don't Lose the Music campaign, where we distributed more than 15,000 pairs of protective earplugs, as well as encouraging people to take our telephone and online hearing checks. Almost half a million people had taken our hearing check by March 2009. To find out more about our successes and achievements read our Annual report.

In 2007/08 our ongoing audiology services campaign saw a commitment from the Department of Health to ensure the process of referral to fitting a hearing aid takes no more than 18-weeks by December 2008.
We recruited Miss England, who is profoundly deaf in her right ear, to launch RNID’s ‘Ear of the Year’ awards, encouraging people to look after their hearing.
Our www.tuneouttinnitus.org.uk (external link) website was launched in July 2007, which has so far been visited by more than 50,000 unique visitors.
In tackling the issue of hearing health amongst young people, RNID distributed more than 95,000 pairs of earplugs at festivals, club nights and other events.
