Activities

Our Regional Communications and Information officer and volunteers attend exhibitions, give talks and provide information about deafness and our services.

We try particularly hard to reach people who are isolated and have little access to information on deaf awareness issues, equipment, services and benefits.

We provide information in a number of ways:

  • giving talks on deaf awareness, equipment, communication and RNID services and campaigns
  • attending exhibitions to display a range of our leaflets, factsheets and publications
  • signposting local services for deaf and hard of hearing people.

Talks are given to nursing home staff, local community groups, health professionals and anyone wanting to find out more about deafness.
