The lecture will be held at Wilton House, 5 College Square, Belfast on Friday 10 November 2006 at 8pm. The lecture will be given by Professor Michael Schwartz from Syracuse University, USA.

At the event, Rachel Pollard from Dublin will be launching her new book, The Avenue: A history of Claremont Institution, which is about the first Deaf School in Ireland founded in 1816. Rachel will give a short presentation about the school.
