RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

Building Sustainable Prosperity.

We have secured funding from the European Social Fund (ESF) under the Northern Ireland Programme for Building Sustainable Prosperity Measure 2.3 Promoting a Labour Market Open for All from April 2006 to March 2008. This will help us to continue to provide our specialist service.

Advice for individuals

Our employment advisers offer advice and guidance to deaf and hard of hearing people who are:

  • looking for work
  • already in work, but finding things difficult and need some support
  • wanting more training or to get more qualifications to improve their future job opportunities
  • wanting a career change.

Advice for businesses

We provide a consultancy service, Louder than Words, that covers all areas of working and dealing with deaf and hard of hearing people. We can offer:

  • accessibility audits by our experts who will visit your organisation and give you a written report showing the areas where you will be able to make it more accessible to deaf and hard of hearing customers and staff
  • advice from our expert team on policies, practicies and strategies
  • advice on recruitment from our employment advisers, from policy to practice
  • mystery shopper: we test how accessible you really are and provide a detailed report on how a deaf or hard of hearing customer would access your organisation.

Please contact us to discuss your needs in more detail.
