Our Deaf Awareness Week (28 June-04 July 2010) was very successful with the coffee morning at Forth Valley Sensory Centre being mentioned in our member magazine One in Seven.

Our Parliamentary Reception was hosted by John Park MSP with speakers Public Health Minister, Shona Robison and Delia Henry our Director and volunteer/intern Craig Phillips.

Craig Phillips, a recent volunteer award winner, told the audience of his experiences of coping with hearing loss and how it had not been diagnosed until he reached university. The reaction to Craig's story from the audience was extremely positive and people were interested to find out more about his story.

Forthcoming Fundraising Events

• As the Co-operative Charity of the Year, we had great success in fundraising at each round of the CIS Insurance Cup in Scotland including the final. We have maintained a strong relationship with Co-operative Financial Services and so they have invited us to fundraise again this year.
