RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

We provide a range of information to deaf or hard of hearing people, families, friends, community groups and key groups of professionals. Our Communications and Information Officer also promotes the full range of our services including campaigns and membership, covering all of Scotland.

How we work

The Communications and Information Officer's role includes

  • attending national, regional and local exhibitions
  • giving talks to groups such as lipreading classes, hard of hearing clubs and pensioners associations
  • organising information days and seminars
  • giving presentations to organisations and groups of professionals.
  • responding to information enquiries

Requests for information

You can request information by telephone, textphone, letter, fax or email. Last year we dealt with over 3,000 enquiries on all aspects of deafness, hearing loss and hearing health.
