RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

We're celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year with a number of events for deaf and hard of hearing people and people with tinnitus.

RNID Cymru was set up in 1997 as a result of the devolution of powers to the Welsh Assembly government. For the past 10 years we have been working to improve the lives of the 480,000 people who are deaf or hard of hearing in Wales.

To celebrate our 10-year anniversary we are organising a number of events and information days in Wales, including:

  • RNID Cymru manifesto for the National Assembly for Wales elections
  • National Eisteddfod of Wales, Flintshire and District from 4 -11 August 2007
  • "Making an Impact" event

More details about these events and all our other events will be available on this site once they have been confirmed.

A number of these events are supported by Legal & General. Adrian Clark, Location Director, Legal & General Cardiff says:  "Legal & General have developed a close working relationship with RNID Cymru over the last several years and we are delighted to be supporting a number of events planned to celebrate their 10th Anniversary this year".

RNID Cymru would also like to thank all the staff and volunteers that have worked with us over the last 10 years.
