RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

The comprehensive guide, called "Information for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People",  is funded by a £4,000 Legal & General donation. It provides a range of essential information such as:

  • the latest hearing aids and equipment
  • local interpreting and communication services
  • contact details for the city's social services,  deaf clubs, charities and voluntary organisations supporting deaf and hard of hearing people.

Copies of the booklet will be available from local libraries, audiology services and GP surgeries throughout the city or by contacting RNID Cymru directly.

RNID Cymru Director, Catrin Fletcher, says:  "This new booklet is a must-have resource for the city's deaf and hard of hearing people. Using funds from Legal & General's generous donation, we've produced a free, easy-to-use guide so all the details about local services for deaf and hard of hearing people are at your fingertips. Whether you want to find out about your nearest deaf club, locate a church holding signed worship, or contact local communication services, our guide will point you in the right direction."
