Thanks to a donation of £10,000 from Legal & General, deaf and hard of hearing people in the Cardiff area will have better access to volunteering opportunities in their local community

Legal & General are supporting RNID Cymru's Volunteering & Participation project, which aims to make volunteering more accessible to deaf and hard of hearing people. We do this by supporting organisations who work with volunteers to improve their deaf awareness and become more accessible to deaf and hard of hearing people. We also offer information and support to deaf and hard of hearing people who want to make a difference to their communities through volunteering.
Volunteering is a great way for people to have new experiences and learn important skills
Volunteering is recognised as having a positive impact on the health and well being of volunteers. It is also a great way to meet new people and learn new skills.
Lynne Sheehy, Legal & General PR & Communication Manager said "As a local employer we are committed to making a difference in the communities where we have our offices. Volunteering is a great way for people to have new experiences and learn important skills and we are delighted to support RNID Cymru’s work in making these opportunities available to deaf and hard of hearing members of the community."
