Meet the Cymru team at Eisteddfod 2008
Staff from RNID Cymru will be at this year’s National Eisteddfod at Pontcanna Fields in Cardiff. Taking place in the capital for the first time in twenty years, the festival will attract visitors from all over the world to enjoy Welsh poetry, music and a good day out.
The Cymru team will be taking the opportunity to talk to visitors about our services and campaigns, so why not call in and meet us if you’re visiting the event? Sponsored by Legal & General, you will find our stand in the trade area of the field.
Introductory BSL and deaf awareness classes
As well as promoting our full range of services, we are also offering short introductory British Sign Language and deaf awareness classes from 2pm on Tuesday 5 August in the Welsh Council for Voluntary Action's Sbardun pavillion. Places are limited, so please sign up at our stand if you are interested in taking part.
Don't Lose the Music
RNID Cymru will also be encouraging visiting music-lovers to protect their hearing as part of our Don't Lose the Music campaign. The Don't Lose the Music Squad will be measuring the volumes people are listening to on their MP3 players and warning them of the dangers of listening to music too loudly for too long, namely permanent hearing loss and tinnitus.
