My tinutus is like standing under electricity pylons at full blast, and it varies between both high and low voltage ,all though its mainly on the left side it can travel from one side of my head to the other, at its worst it becomes so over powering it consumes me .and I will do any thing to stop it

I agree that here are as many types of tinnitus as there are people who have it. As someone who developed it 30 years ago combined with sudden hearing loss, I believe there are different underlying causes which may cause different effects.

Clicking, hissing, whining, ringing, clacking; intermittent or 24/7. The concern is to learn to deal with it. And there is no set route for doing that.

As far as we are aware there isn't a definitive answer to this question. Tinnitus is such an individual symptom for each person. The obvious ones may be high frequency sounds - such as ringing, buzzing, hissing or whistling. Other people may hear lower frequency noises. Some people will hear pulsing beats or music (pulsatile tinnitus or musical hallucinations). Most people seem to hear one type of noise or tone, but other people have reported hearing up to ten different sounds. We also know that tinnitus can be constant for some people, but intermittent for others. Not everyone who has tinnitus will report it, so there may be many other types of tinnitus that we are unaware of.
