try a white noise generator and put it in your ear as you go to bed (if this is your worse time?)......your brain will tune into the static noise and you will not hear your tinnitus........try mm2 blue audimed tinnitus system at puretone.net
you can also use this for what its designed for Retraining your Tinnitus

I can sympathise with you completely. I've had tinitus for over 40 years now. This is a highpitch ringing in both ears. Over the past 12 months its got a lot worse for some reason and it's driving me nuts! I'm trying to get a referal to our local audiogist consultant.
I am the same stage as you at the moment and I'm sorry that I don't have any answers at the moment. There are some good leaflets on the British Tinitus Association web site.
Good Luck.

I sympathise with you. I have had tinnitus for 8 years now and can only offer the ray of light that - for me at least - it gets easier to cope with over time.
I think one doctor told me that the brain starts to get used to the noise and begins to ignore it (meaning you only notice it in quiet situations or when you are anxious/stressed).
Talking to people and sharing the problem with others may also help you, especially people on here who will know what you're going through...
Martin.
