Sonny's question

If the audiologists tell you that its safe to go clubbing and listen to music because all tests indicate your hearing is good, can I trust them? My hearing distortion and tinnitus is telling me one thing, the doctors another.

Tinnitus diagnosis
Detail
Ive had audiograms, otoacoustic emissions test, speech-in-noise and tympanometry. All tests indicate that my hearing is actually very good. However, I have tinnitus and music often sounds distorted and fuzzy. Music is my passion in life and without it I slip into very severe depression. Should I go clubbing or not. On the one hand not going out is making me very depressed, but on the other I know my hearing is not fine, despite the tests.

Go clubbing, but TAKE AND WEAR DECENT EARPLUGS, and learn how to put them in properly. If you ignore the warning signs from your ears, you will REGRET it for the rest of your natural life, and thats regret in huge bold capitals. You must apply your own logic to a doctors advice, always, trust me on this.
