Using infra red induction loop

Hi I am a secondary school teacher who would like to know if anybody out there works with an infra red (IR) induction loop system and what you think of them?
Currently looking into access to work (ATW) to fit one in my classroom. All internet searches show information on the student being the hearing aid wearer (as I was 31 years ago) not the teacher.
Any info would be greatly recieved.
