Hi bj, try not to isolate yourself, do the things you used to enjoy, even if it takes courage. Ask for trt from your audiology dept in your local hospitals, you would need a GP referal first. Agree T is rotten at times but try to get on with your life, dont let it depress you too much, that is why they say think positive if you can.

For a start using your name and not your intials "bj" might give you some justice, then you can work on your tinnitus issues like the rest of the us.

Barry, Maybe if your T is induced by medication it may go away now you have stopped taking them. It really is awful but as most people say you will get used to it especially if you use white noise etc, what about the T Tamer you can download it apparently it,s somewhere on this forum but someone would tell you I am sure. One of the people on this site gets great relief from it. How is your hearing as some people say hearing aids help, if you can hear more outside it reduces the noise inside the head.
Just wish something would come up for us all on this site.
Cheers Chris

hi Chris, its a year ago last month i contracted t, but only in the last month that the sound has rocketed. My hearing is a little tone deaf and i've not used anti-biotics for about 3 weeks, but now this unrelenting racket is really just too much. Conversation of this nature is so helpful, i know nobody else with this affliction, i'd just like to be with a group of people similar to myself, not even discussing the subject, just in their company. I dont consider stress much of a contributor, but one prescripted drug, i was taking a year is a major contributor to this.Chris i've no idea what a t tamer is,i'll check it out, thanks and i hope things improve for you too, i'm certainly fed up with being so engrossed in myself, i've never known such a self centred state of mind, its so hard to kick, thanks barry
