I wonder how many people suffer with t and yet have never seen their GP.
Im sure the figures of 7 million, i think it is for UK and some reports say 36 million or 50 million in the states, would be much higher if this condition was reported more.
I think people assume they have to live with it and up to a point that is true, but if we dont bombard the doctors with the problem they will just carry on regardless. If more people consulted their GP they might realise this is like an epidemic.
Ive had t for over 40 years and up to recently only seen a doc once in all that time. The difference now is its much more intrusive on my life and driving me crazy. I had habituated before, but no longer. I've been to the docs about 10 times in the last 5/6 weeks. Thats more than in the last 20 years! They are now beginning to take me seriously and referals are being made.
I say dont suffer in "silence", let the medics know how big this really is and then they will have to take it seriously.

Hi linda my docs great they try everything I ask or read about to no avail really, I think the secret is to try to ignore T till it habituates, the brain has to see it as non threatening, but I cant do this yet, but lots of people do, they dont feel aware of their t till you remind them, all the best.
