Hi,

I (sometimes) notice this annoying sharp ringing in my right ear (my good ear, BTW) just after I wake up or after I've been out in the cold. I noticed it first after an early-morning jungle safari on a chilly September morning. It has come and gone several times since then.

If I press my ear lobe shut hard, I notice it getting louder. I am able to discern it very feebly when I have my finger in the ear (instead of shutting the ear lobe closed)! I am thus perplexed.

Could it have to do something with the blood flow? Something else? Anything to worry about???

Sorry, I meant "tragus" instead of "ear lobe". Apologies for my poor knowledge of aural anatomy.

Possibly T is the result of poor circulation in the ear.
