small bone in my ear

i've managed to live my T over the last few years, but it got a bit worse recently so i decided to go my GP for a referal to the ENT to see if they would give me TRT or maskers. On the morning of my appointment i remember my T not being too bad and i considered cancelling but went anyway.

At the GPs he looked in my left ear, where my t is worse, and said that theres a small bone in the ear which normally hangs down, but mine was hanging out of place (i've never heard of this before). He told me hold my nose and blow out as if to make ears pop. i did this and ever since my T has been MUCH worse.

Any thoughts? Is it possible ive damaged this bone or done something to it? Can it be mended? can somehow moving this bone make T better or worse (would have thought someone would have thought of it if it was a cure). wierd.

how could your gp see the ear bones thru the eardrum?

what the hell?

another clueless doctor?

yep. I'm REALLY off about this. At the time he said it I thought 'that sounds weird?' Now I've got the same kind of feeling about my T that alot of peolpe have, of the pressure in the ears and the feeling of needing to 'pop' them, which i didnt have before. to make it worse i went back for a second appointment, to say that it's got unbearable and i want ot try TRT or anything, he was a complete **** and i had the usual T sufferers doctors experience of being in and out there in 30 seconds and leaving with the feeling that i'd totally wasted the doctors time.

sue him. Its the only way they learn, seriously.

NEVER EVER BLINDLY TRUST A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. The sad truth is that the age of the family doctor is dead, and they have 5 minuites to figure out whats wrong with you and get you medicated and out the door. Dont be deliberatley obstructive but ALWAYS USE YOUR JUDGEMENT ASWELL.

This kind of stories make my blood boil.

That sounds pretty dodgy. ?? I think you should see another doctor, find a decent one (good luck) and just see what they say, then maybe tell them what the other doctor said and ask them what they think of that.

I thought they had to do ridiculously expensive x-rays to see the bones in there!
