  • How to I register for the forums?

    If you have already registered for the RNID website you do not have to register separately for the forums.

    To register for the website and forums click on the "Please register if you are not already registered with RNID" link.

    You can find this link when you enter any of the forums or towards the top right on the forums home page.

  • How do I login to the forums?

    If you are already logged into the RNID website you do not have to login separately for the forums.

    To login to the website and forums click on the "Login" link. You can find the link in the top right corner of all our web pages.

    If you are in the forums section you can also login using the "Login to the Forum" link. You can find this link when you enter any of the forums or towards the top right

  • How do I read messages on the forums?

    You do not need to be registered or logged in to read messages in the forums.

    To read a message, select a forum ("tinnitus" or "products and equipment"). You will see a list of the discussion threads, to read a thread, click on the name of the thread to see all the messages associated with it.

  • How do I start a thread?

    To start a thread you must be registered to use the RNID website and logged in.

    You can login or register at any time while in the forums section by clicking on the "Login to the forum" or "Please register if you are not already registered with RNID".

    Once you are registered and logged in, simply select the forum you would like to post to and enter a title for the thread and your message into the "Start new thread" boxes and click the "Post thread" button.

    Your thread will then be added to the top of that forum.

    If this is the first time you have posted to the forums you will be asked to read and agree to our terms and conditions of use before your reply will be submitted.

  • How do I do post a reply?

    To post a reply you must be registered to use the RNID website and logged in.

    You can login or register at any time while in the forums section by clicking on the "Login to the forum" or "Please register if you are not already registered with RNID".

    Once you are registered and logged in, simply select the discussion thread you would like to reply and scroll down until you see the "Post reply" box. Enter your message into the box and then click the "Post reply" button.

    Your reply will then be added to the end of that thread.

    If this is the first time you have posted to the forums you will be asked to read and agree to our terms and conditions of use before your reply will be submitted.

  • Can I edit my posts?

    No. Once you have posted on the forum only the forum administrator or moderators can edit the post.

  • What should I do if there is an inappropriate post or thread?

    If you come across a post or a thread that you think inappropriate and/or in breech of our terms and conditions, please email webteam@rnid.org.uk.  

    Please include the name of the offending post or thread, the username of the person who posted it and if possible the website address (sometimes referred to as a URL - Universal Resource Locator) where the post of thread can be found.
