RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

Many of our clients had been unable to get the right service or support for their needs. Our staff have an awareness of their support needs, including mental health, visual impairment, alcohol and drug issues as well as deafness and how it effects their lives.

Support

We have set this this project up to meet the needs of the clients. Our support workers can help with a number of issues effecting their life including:

  • tenancy issues
  • utility bills
  • moving house or furnishing their homes
  • shopping
  • managing their mental health
  • medical appointments
  • attending college
  • access to a  range of community related activities

We provide ongoing support and encouragement to our clients, helping them to fulfill their potential and make their own choices about their lives.

This project is funded through Supporting People and is the first of it's kind in Wales. It has helped many deaf people to live the life they want by helping them to become more independent.
