Harkness Gardens offers high standards of care and support to six deaf and deafblind adults aged 18 to 50 who have additional needs such as learning difficulties, autism, or mental health or mobility problems. We provide an environment that encourages and promotes independent living skills, confidence and self-esteem and can be used as a stepping-stone to independent living as well as a home for life to those that need it.

Support

We offer support based on the needs of each individual. This includes:

  • 24 hour staff cover, all year round
  • highly trained staff
  • total communication environment
  • comprehensive individual support plans
  • regular review meetings
  • key workers for each service user.

Accommodation

This semi-detached house has been developed in partnership with Habinteg Housing Association. It is in the quiet community of Brigade and is within walking distance of shops, a church, pubs and restaurants, with bus links to the town centre.
