Olive Lane provides long-term accommodation and a home for life for eight deaf adults aged 18 to 65 who have additional needs including physical and learning disabilities and low-level mental health problems.

Support

We offer support based on the needs of each individual. This includes:

  • 24 hour staff cover, all year round
  • highly trained staff
  • total communication environment
  • comprehensive individual support plans
  • regular review meetings
  • key workers for each service user.

Accommodation

This modern, comfortable detached home was opened in partnership with Black Country Housing Association. It is in a quiet area of Blackheath and has kept an intimate family-type environment. All ground floor rooms are wheelchair accessible and there is a communal kitchen, lounge and garden. There are regular bus and rail links to Birmingham, and there are churches, deaf clubs, a theatre, pubs, shops and leisure facilities nearby.
