RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

Roper House offers a varied and flexible range of services for 28 deaf and deafblind adults with disabilities who are at least 43 years old. We can provide a home for life or act as a stepping-stone to independent living. As well as residential care there are a small number of supported living flats, day care facilities and some outreach services.

Support

We offer support based on the needs of each individual. This includes:

  • 24 hour staff cover, all year round
  • highly trained staff
  • total communication environment
  • comprehensive individual support plans
  • regular review meetings
  • key workers for each service user.

Accommodation

This detached house has separate supported independent living flats in its grounds. It is in the historic cathedral city of Canterbury, so it is easy to get to the city centre, coast and neighbouring countryside.
