during 2007/8 our Information Line responded to over 33,200 enquiries and nearly 3,500 for out Tinnitus helpline.
We operate a number of helplines, including our central Information Line.

Our Information Line is a great place to start if you want information on any aspects of deafness, hearing loss or tinnitus, or about the work we do. Alternatively, if you have specific questions about tinnitus you can call our Tinnitus Helpline.
Our Information Line offers free confidential and impartial information on a number of subjects including communication, employment, equipment, legislation, benefits as well as many issues relating to deafness and hearing loss. We have a dedicated team of trained Information Officers who respond to requests by telephone, textphone, email, letters and fax. In 2007/8 we responded to over 33,200 Information Line enquiries and nearly 3,500 on our Tinnitus Helpline.
We aim to provide information to help as many callers to take further action for themselves. If this is not possible, or if there is an another course action that is more suitable, our information officers can give you details of relevant local and national organisations that may be able to help.

Whichever way you choose to contact us, please include your full postal address as we can often only send information through the post. We aim to respond within 15 working days for all enquiries and 28 days for paid-for publications.
We also provide a lot of relevant information on this website, including our factsheets and leaflets, so you may wish to print out the information you need.

The RNID Tinnitus Helpline is a national service offering information on tinnitus for people with tinnitus, their friends and families.
We also produce "Tinnitus Focus", a magazine for tinnitus professionals and tinnitus support groups. It gives details of the latest research, current treatments for tinnitus, media coverage and forthcoming courses and conferences. You can order up to five copies free by contacting RNID Tinnitus Helpline. Alternatively, you can download past copies in PDF format.
