RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

We believe that deaf and hard of hearing people should be able to access the legal system like anyone else. Our revised service will aim to:

  • increase this access, and
  • make sure that deaf and hard of hearing people’s rights continue to be protected under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

While we review the service, we will no longer be able to provide legal advice or representation on the DDA. We have a wide range of general information about the DDA and Disability Equality Duty through our website and factsheets. We will continue to give advice and representation on benefits enquiries.

If you need urgent legal advice or representation on the DDA, please contact:

We remain committed to continuing our successful and important work in protecting and advancing the rights of deaf and hard of hearing people.
