Old name, new purpose: why we’ve gone back to RNID

Flexi-Grant (grant management system)

Over the next year, we are moving to using an online system called Flexi-Grant to manage our application, review and grants management processes. Visit Flexi-Grant.

The first scheme we will launch on Flexi-Grant will be our 2023 Fellowship scheme, due to open for applications in October 2022.

If you’re an applicant

You’ll need to sign up for an account on Flexi-Grant before you can apply for funding. You can do this by going to the Flexi-Grant main page. See the user guide for full details on how to create an account and apply to one of our grant schemes.

Once logged in to the system, you’ll be able to apply for any grant scheme that is currently open and accepting applications.

Following the move to Flexi-Grant, we’ll require an authorised representative from your institution to approve your application, including all details and budget, before you can submit it.

They’ll have to log in to Flexi-Grant to do so but will not be asked to create an account (see the user guide for more details). Please ensure you allow enough time before the deadline to do this.

If you’re a member of one of our review panels

We’ll now manage the panel review process and provide all documentation for panel meetings through Flexi-Grant.

We have contacted you about how to access the system and will provide you with your account details shortly. We’ll also give you further guidance on how to access panel meeting papers and all other documents that you will need.

If you’re a grant-holder

We’ll now manage our grants through Flexi-Grant, including collecting progress and financial reports and any requests for changes to your grant.

If you currently have a grant funded by us, we have contacted you about how to access the system and will provide you with your account details shortly. We’ll also give you further guidance on how to request changes to your grant and submit progress reports.

If you agree to review an application for us

We’ll now manage our peer review process through Flexi-Grant. If you agree to review an application for us, we’ll create a Flexi-Grant account for you if you do not already have one.

Once you have logged in to Flexi-Grant, you’ll be able to access the application you have agreed to review and the reviewer feedback form, which can be completed and submitted online.
