How we are making a difference

Auditory research is taking place in academic institutions all over the world, much of it designed to increase our understanding of diseases and conditions that affect hearing function. More applied research is now needed to turn this knowledge into treatments, so we are actively encouraging and assisting the private sector to get involved in this area.

We do this by:

New in 2009!

Partnering for cures- hearing loss companies looking for partners/investors

  • Access for VCs, investors and partner companies to our list of companies developing hearing loss/tinnitus therapeutics who are looking for support to enable progression of R&D
  • Free advertising on our website for companies looking for such support
  • Go to the current list of companies looking for support

Major Funding Initiatives

This year we are developing major new funding initiatives. These will differ from our other grant schemes as they are intended to support work with commercial potential; this potential must be demonstrated in the application. The funding source for these initiatives will be via industry partners, who in return will receive intellectual property, licensing options, shares etc, as negotiated. Find out more about our funding initiatives.
