Sensaurial’s hand held device is able to accurately measure a patient’s hearing in both ears in under a minute, providing over 300 frequency points producing a true profile. Current tests only map 8 frequency points, can take up to 25 minutes, and require a large hospital-based laboratory with highly trained staff. The advantages of Sensaurial’s device are self-evident.
Hearing impairment is something that is bound to affect every living person directly or indirectly, and improvements to the current standard of diagnosis and treatment are required. Sensaurial believe they will soon be able to make those improvements. See the video of how it works (external link, opens new browser window).
From more than 200 entries, Sensaurial was selected as a Medical Futures Innovation Award winner for ‘Best Diagnosis Device’ in the ENT & Audiology category and were also the 'Overall Winners' in the same category. They were also one of just four companies to be short listed for the coveted ‘Business Innovation Award’ out of over 1,000 entrants.
Sensaurial’s innovative ‘rapid hearing diagnosis device’ was chosen to be a winner on three principle criteria: novelty, impact on patient care and its clinical and technical viability.
