Sally Clelland raised her sponsorship by setting up a Just Giving page and asking everyone on her Christmas card list to sponsor her. Sally also organised a 'guess the name of the teddy bear' competition at her daughter's school and a raffle at her local deaf club. Read Sally's London to Paris diary.

Deafness can be a forgotten cause but by joining our team you will help to raise awareness and money. Your support will help to change the world for the UK's 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people.

This long weekend challenge links two great European cities, London and Paris, covering around 300 kilometres in three days. You'll visit historic towns, sleepy villages and rolling countryside on the route. As well as cycling along wide Parisian streets to the finishing line at the city's most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower. You'll also get a free day to explore Paris before travelling home on the Eurostar train. Read the full itinerary.
The registration fee is £150, and we ask all our cyclists to pledge to raise £1100 or more. Special offer - we have slashed the registration fee to an unbelievable £99! Don't miss out on this great offer so sign up by Friday, 12 March 2010.
Don't panic if you've never raised sponsorship before – we'll help you every step of the way and share tips, ideas and the expertise of other fundraisers. Download a fundraising plan (PDF - 728KB) .
We also take care of all the other arrangements, everything is included - accommodation, meals, back up, guides and travel home on the Eurostar.
Don't worry, it's not a race. You can go at your own pace, although you do need to be reasonably healthy. Training plans are available and all abilities are welcome.
You'll stay at tourist class hotels throughout the trip.
Food and drink will be healthy and there will be lots of it. Snacks are also provided during the trip. We'll take care of any dietary requirements if you let us know before the event.
You'll be taking part in this challenge with at least 40 other people. So this is a great opportunity to make new friends.
Yes! If you'd like to explore Paris for longer you can stay on after the event and change the return Eurostar booking (at an extra cost).
