Fundraising at home is a great way to get everyone together for a different reason.  Here are just a few ideas, but if you can think of more please get in touch with our events and community team.

 

Tips on fundraising at home with adults

Organise a deaf awareness talk – ask for donations from people that attend.

Dinner party, picnic or BBQ – ask people to make a donation instead of bringing drinks or presents.

Quiz night – which friend knows the most? Organise a quiz night and ask for donations to play.

Sponsored game or event - with friends and family.

Karaoke competition – get your friends and family up singing. Ask for donations to sing.

Wine tasting evening – ask for donations on entry.

Tea party – get your friends and neighbours over for a cuppa and ask for donations.

Moneybox collections – place a money box in your home for when you have visitors.

Ask family and friends to make a donation as a birthday or wedding present.

Give by selling on eBay.

 

Tips on fundraising at home with children

Sponsored silence – ask people to sponsor you to not speak for a day.

Fingerspelling competition – raise money for every letter you learn.

Play charades – ask players to donate to play.

Sign language day – raise sponsorship to sign for a day.

Video game competitions – pay to enter and compete with your friends.

Helping hand – ask for a small donation in return of a job.

Cake sale - bake cakes and biscuits and sell them to raise money.

Home cinema service – ask your friends to pay an entry fee to your own home cinema.
