RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

We're hugely grateful to those of you who decide to support us with a regular gift. Ongoing financial support provides the vital long-term funding that many of our projects so desperately need.

We've been carrying out door-to-door fundraising for a number of years. It's a very successful way for us to win more support, and to spread the word about our work to people that might not have heard about us.

About our fundraisers

RNID's door-to-door fundraising is carried out on our behalf by teams of representatives from professional fundraising organisations. We expect people fundraising for RNID to be courteous, informed and passionate about our work.

They are readily identifiable:

  • They will have an ID badge on display and should be happy for you to verify their identity
  • They work in specific areas at specific times
  • They won't ask you for cash or a cheque

If you want to know whether our fundraisers are working in your area, just ask - either call or write to us.  If you're writing, please include your postcode. Our contact details are listed in the box at the bottom of this page.

Door-to-door fundraising is a crucial element of RNID's fundraising programme. We hope you'll be happy to support us should our representatives visit you.

You can also support us now by making a donation.

Our current activity

Our fundraisers have been working non-stop since March 2009 and have visited people up and down the country, from Newcastle to Brighton, Yeovil to Norwich.  They will continue fundraising for us well into 2010.

Our fundraisers move from place to place quite frequently, so we'd suggest you contact us if you want to know if they're in your area.  They work incredibly hard for a very good cause, so please do give them a warm welcome if they pay a visit!
