RNID: For deaf and hard of hearing people.

Your legacy could help us find a cure for deafness
Bee in a Thistle

By 2039 it has been estimated that over 13 million people in the UK could be deaf or hard of hearing, so it’s essential that our work continues, providing services and support and funding bio-medical research that could one day restore hearing.

There are signs that the value of gifts left to RNID in wills may be declining, which could threaten the future progress of our vital work.  Please consider including a gift to RNID in your will, once you've taken care of your loved ones.  However large or small, your gift can help to create a better future for people with deafness or hearing loss.

How your legacy will help

The needs of the people we represent vary enormously and so does the work we do to support them. It includes:

  • Providing support and guidance through our information line on the best services and equipment for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Providing a dedicated tinnitus helpline to give the best possible support to those who live with this condition.
  • Campaigning to raise awareness of deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss.
  • Providing support services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and who have additional needs.
  • Funding bio-medical research to develop new drugs and technologies to treat and prevent hearing loss.
  • Funding research into technology development to ensure deaf and hard of hearing people have the best possible equipment to maximise their potential in life.
Remember RNID in your will

Our vision is of a world where deafness and hearing loss are not barriers to opportunity and fulfilment. Help us to achieve our vision by remembering us in your will. Together we can make a real difference to the lives of deaf and hard of hearing people.

By making or changing your will you are planning for the future, for your family, friends and the causes you support. To help you write or update your will, RNID can send you a free will-making guide.
