Summer/Autumn 2007 - Issue 30
Highlights of this issue include:
We surveyed people with tinnitus, their partners and hearing therapists in different locations around the UK. In addition to the face-to-face interviews, we sent out postal questionnaires.
One of our findings was that those who had been aware of having tinnitus for more than two years typically had less need, or desire, for tinnitus relaxing products.
Fiona Head examines sleep centres in a bid to see if any of the treatments offered could benefit tinnitus services, since up to half of the enquirers to RNID's Tinnitus Helpline report problems sleeping.
Acupuncturist Janice Leonard outlines what auricular acupuncture is and how it can help people with tinnitus, using two case studies of people with tinnitus.
