How RNID evaluates products

Who are we?

Our Evaluation Centre is home to a team of experts with a wide range of skills, experiences and interests. Each has a wide knowledge of current products and technologies and we also have experts in electronics, IT, consumer ergonomics and product design.

Who do we test for?

We test products for three vital areas of RNID's work:

• "One in Seven" our membership magazine
• RNID Products
• The website.

We also work with other organisations who aim to help people who are deaf or hard of hearing, including the British Standards Institution (BSI).
 
Another aspect of our testing involves working with product manufacturers. We carry out test programmes to help them develop products which are more relevant to your needs and will give real benefits to deaf and hard of hearing people.
