Easy to put on or off and all found it comfortable to wear, but a bit heavy. The thick wire should be strong, but users didn’t like they way it looked. Everyone liked the cordless feature. Sound quality is as good as the Nokia but the volume can be very loud, users had to turn the phone volume to minimum and adjust their hearing aid as well. Most said they’d buy this loop.

Ferrosound MPL-06 Mobile Phone Loop-set

Some users found the loop rather short and difficult to put on or off. Otherwise, it is easy to use and comfortable to wear. Generally, it doesn’t perform as well as the other loops we tested. Half of our panel thought the volume was too low and the sound was muffled or distorted. They could not use it and wouldn’t buy it.

Geemarc CLA7

Easy to put on or off, comfortable to wear and users generally like its looks. The on/off control is okay to use, but the volume control is too small and was poorly positioned, "it’s in the wrong place", said Kevin. The loop performs well, with good volume and good sound quality for both male and female voices. Most of our panel said they would be happy to own one.

Nokia LPS-4

The loop separates to make it easier to put around the neck and users liked this, but some said  "it was quite tight". It is very comfortable to wear and users liked the "robust design" and "thin shape". The on/off control is a good size and easy to use. This loop performs very well, with very good volume and very good sound quality. All of our users said they’d buy this loop.

Sarabec PL100 Mobile Phone Amplifier

Some users found the loop rather short and tricky to put on or off. They didn’t like the combined volume and on/off control: "It's in the wrong position and I don’t like using thumbwheels" said Kevin. But David commented: "The large control is good for stiff fingers". Most users found the volume loud enough but the sound "lacked sharpness" and sounded "muffled". Few would buy this loop.

Starkey Laboratories EM-101 Adapted Neckloop

The loop disconnects separates and users liked this feature. It is comfortable to wear, but some  didn’t like its size and looks. It was easy to use and everyone liked the cordless feature. The loop performs well, with good volume and sound quality, but some found it less clear with female voices. Most users would buy this.
