Rights and duties

Recent major changes to the Disability Discrimination Act (1995) have introduced access rights and affect employment rights.  This means you now have a number of extra rights, whether as en employee or a customer. You may be entitled to benefits and services.  Employers and service providers have duties under the law to their deaf and hard of hearing employees and customers.

Benefits

You may qualify for some form of welfare benefit such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or a service such as free equipment.
