Benefits and services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing
If you are deaf you can get a lot of support from your local authority, your local Jobcentre Plus, the NHS, the Department for Work and Pensions and other organisations such as RNID. For more information on benefits and services you may be entitled to, see our leaflet Benefits and services.
Benefits available
You may be entitled to benefits because you have a hearing loss or for reasons that are unrelated to your hearing loss. For example, you may be able to claim Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or Council Tax Benefit.
