Who can help with my claim?

There are a number of places you can go to if you have any queries about making a claim for benefits.

  • For any questions about benefits, you should first contact the Benefit Enquiry Line.
  • If you have an enquiry about tax credits, contact the Tax Credits Helpline.
  • If you need help filling in a form or want to speak to someone in person, contact the Benefit Enquiry Line or your local Citizens Advice Bureau.
  • Alternatively, contact your local Jobcentre Plus or Social Security office (see your phonebook). They may be able to arrange for a visiting officer to come and see you in your own home.
  • If you still need further help after contacting these organisations please contact the RNID Information Line or your local RNID office in Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales.
