The headbangers on a highway to casualty: Experts warn rock dance can cause brain injury

A recent report by researchers from Australia's University of South Wales have warned of the dangers headbanging at rock concerts can have to your health, including neck injuries, headaches and dizziness. There have been reports that some people have suffered from hearing loss, strokes and brain injuries.

MP3 generation urged to turn down the volume

RNID is urging music lovers receiving MP3 players as gifts to use them responsibly. RNID Director of External Affairs, Emma Harrison said RNID's research found people around the country are listening to their MP3 players at unbelievably high levels, with more than one in five blasting their ears with sound levels of 100 decibels or more.

Working to improve access for the deaf

Councillor Judith Woodman, Deputy Leader of Cardiff council, says the council has taken steps to improve access for deaf citizens, including publishing a corporate policy setting out arrangements for BSL and other kinds of communication support on demand.
