Gabby's call to 'log on' and claim an RNID Great Wall of China trek place - 18 August 2008

Sports presenter Gabby Logan is calling on adventurous people to sign up for RNID’s Great Wall of China trek and explore the spectacular sights around Beijing.

Gabby, who is urging people to visit www.rnid.org.uk/chinatrek and find out how to register for the once-in-a-lifetime challenge, says: "Sign up for RNID’s Great Wall of China team and make strides towards changing the world for deaf and hard of hearing people."

Prospective fundraisers can claim a place in RNID’s team for the 6 - 14 August 2009 trek by paying a registration fee of £250 and raising a minimum of £2500. The places are available on a first come, first served basis. People who sign up before 30 September 2008 will receive a 15% discount on their registration fee.

The money raised will be used to support the charity’s campaigning work and range of services for deaf and hard of hearing people around the country.
