AmpliPower 40 |
This is the sister phone to the AmpliPower 50 with the same specification but a slightly lower volume. Despite this lower amplification it is still our second loudest phone.
There's also a flashing light to signal incoming calls and a very loud ringer, so it's an excellent phone for people with a severe hearing loss.
You can adjust the volume and the tone of the caller's voice so you can tailor the settings to suit your specific hearing loss.
The Amplipower 40 is hearing aid compatible, so if you have a hearing aid with a T setting you can 'switch to T' and have a phone conversation without any background noise.
The hands-free function allows you to speak and hear without holding the handset, leaving your hands free to write or type.
There are 12 speed-dial buttons so you can dial your most commonly called contacts at the press of a button.

This is an extremely loud phone which makes it ideal for someone with a severe hearing loss. The volume can be turned down so that other people can use it too, but care should be taken to ensure that any new users are familiar with this equipment. The loudest setting would be far too loud for someone with average hearing.
