Powertel 680 - Corded and cordless phone with wrist shaker |
This is a combination pack of our popular Powertel range. In this pack you receive a Powertel 500 cordless digital telephone and the corded Powertel 58 telephone and a wrist receiver.
The wrist receiver vibrates when you receive a call and allows you to answer the corded phone at the push of a button. You can then speak hands-free into the corded phone (although the cordless phone must be answered by picking up the handset). The SOS button on the receiver sends out a personal pre-recorded message to three different numbers until it receives a response. This offers real peace of mind to vunerable people and their families and friends.
The key benefit of buying a cordless and a corded phone is that you have the best of both worlds; it gives you the freedom of a cordless phone and the peace of mind that you can find the corded phone in an emergency or use it in a power cut.
The Powertel 500 cordless phone
This telephone has some unique features that make it stand out from the crowd. Firstly you can create two different user profiles where the tone, volume and boost settings are tailored to your hearing. At the press of a button the next user can switch back to the profile they have set for themselves. This is ideal for households with mixed hearing, as it means the phone is ready to use at the press of a button without needing to check the volume and tone first. Secondly, the 5 band graphic equaliser allows you to set the tone more accurately than most other phones. There's an induction loop in the phone so hearing aid users won't get interference on the phone and background noise will also be cut out.

The two phones work very well with hearing aids that have a T setting and the user profiles are very useful in mixed hearing households. The wrist receiver makes it very easy to know when the phone is ringing but it also a sense of security because it acts as an emergency button. This is an ideal pack for someone vulnerable who lives with more able bodied people as it gives you flexibility with the different user profiles and added security when it's required.
